Safety

Built around
child safety,
not retrofitted to it

Entrants can be 13. These controls live in the database, not in a policy document — which means they can't be quietly relaxed.

  • No comments and no private messaging. Six reactions, all positive — there is no box to type an insult into.
  • Every under-18 entry is reviewed by a person. Never auto-approved.
  • Guardian permission required and confirmed for everyone under 18.
  • Location data stripped from every upload before it goes anywhere.
  • Social handles are never visible to the other age group. Nobody can find a child on another app through us.
  • Illegal content blocked automatically and referred — never reviewed by our staff.
  • Adults can't mentor under-18s one to one. Enforced, not requested.
  • A named safeguarding lead with authority to act without asking us.
Nobody can find a child on another app through us

Players can link their Instagram, TikTok or Snapchat — but the handle is never shown to anyone else. You see the platform name, and you can only open the link if you're the same side of 18 as they are.

An adult can't read a 14-year-old's handle here and message them there. And it works both ways, which protects adults from an accusation as much as it protects children.

We publish our risk assessments and safeguarding policy openly. Most services don't. We think being honest about risk is more useful to a parent than claiming there isn't any. Read the full safeguarding policy →

Your work

You keep your copyright.
Always, at every age.

You give us the only right to use your entry — nobody else can, including you, without asking. But the copyright stays yours, you're always credited, and you can share and link to it freely.

You keep it. We never ask anyone to sign their work over, at any age.
You're always credited. Your handle goes on it wherever it appears.
If a brand licenses your clip, you get 20% of the fee. Only with your say-so — and if you're under 18, a parent has to agree too.
If a video comes down, you lose nothing. Views, points and position all carry on. We keep the original and put it back up.
If something's wrong

There's a report button on everything in the app. If you believe a child is at immediate risk, call the police on 999. Suspected child sexual abuse material should be reported to the Internet Watch Foundation. You can reach our safeguarding team any time at safeguarding@anything4clout.com.
